Son
The gentle movement of the green and blue design of this poem surrounds a quiet but vital message. Reminding our boys that it is ok to be themselves and not to be afraid of rejecting the out-dated “strong man” stereotype.

Son
My son,
you were not born to “be a man”
so do not stand
as an island, or a tower.
Find power in your sensitivity,
your vulnerability,
these are the things
that will set you free.
Do not hang on another’s rule,
or satisfy labels built by fools
with no mind for difference.
Be soft, be kind
use your own mind,
to find the way and grasp the day,
as it was meant for you.
